This week's book is Towers Falling by Jewel Parker Rhodes. Towers Falling focuses on the aftermath of 9/11 for kids who live in New York, but don't necessarily understand the impact the attacks had. It's a great historical fiction read and a way to learn more about an important part of our history!

This week's First Page Friday is Other Words for Home by Jasmine Warga. In this book, our main character Jude and her mom end up fleeing Syria because of the ongoing war. They move to Ohio to live with Jude's uncle. The book follows Jude's transition to living in Ohio after leaving her father and brother behind.

This week's First Page Friday is Children of Blood and Bone by Tomi Adeyemi. This book is great for fans of other fantasy novels like Harry Potter! Zélie, our protagonist, is trying to bring magic to the kingdom she lives in after it was wiped out by the king.
